Before telling you about how to test biometric or analytical video systems, I want to tell you what this is all about.
Biometrics is the science that segments and identifies people by a physical trait (such as fingerprints) or by behaviors (walking, typing, etc.).
The analytical video is a technology based on cognitive algorithms that analyzes videos and provides conclusions that the human eye could not reach or would do with much effort. An example of application can be the cameras that are in the shoppings and that analyze the flow of people who travel the place distinguishing them by gender and age range.
How would you test the systems that analyze the shoppings cameras? Where would they get the data to test the fingerprint readers? What test cases would you consider to test the identification through the iris? What would be the KPIs to say that a system has a good performance or not?
