Today we talk about Learnability, one of the attributes of usability. It refers to how long it takes the user to reach an optimal use of our system.
Learnability is regarding to how easy it is for users to operate your system when it is the first time they use it and hhow they become more efficient as they use it.
There are three aspects to take into account when we are measuring the learnability:
- The first use
- Variations in the learning curve
- The point in which maximum productivity is reached.
It's important to measure it because:
- It is an attribute of usability
- It allows us to evaluate the cost of on-boarding to our system.
- Impact on user satisfaction
- Impact on user keeping
